Four weeks after sowing, this bed has only been partially successful.
Of the four stations of courgette seeds, only these two Yellow courgette seedlings have survived. It is not clear if tho other seeds failed to sprout or if they sprouted and were consumed by something. Unfortunately, it is probably too late to plant more.
A lot of the runner beans have sprouted and their first true leaves are full sized, but most of them have been eaten by slugs. Hopefully this will not set these late planted beans back so much that they do not have time to produce a crop later in the summer and early autumn.
