The broad beans have filled out and are almost ready to harvest. The longer we wait, the bigger the beans will get, but if we harvest them earlier, they will be sweeter and more tender.

Three Educational Gardens - Three Methodologies - One Research Project
A Food Growing Course
As Ireland's first eco-village is being built in Cloughjordan, 11 people meet once a week to learn how to grow food. This year long course is the beginning of one of the educational cornerstones of the eco-village, where small scale intensive gardens are the focus of research, education and demonstration. The project begins with three separate allotment plots being managed using three different gardening methodologies.
