The broad beans are starting to flower and the potatoes are doing well. Some of the pea plants are visible but they are not doing well, likely caused by the competition with the potatoes and the dry conditions.

A Food Growing Course
As Ireland's first eco-village is being built in Cloughjordan, 11 people meet once a week to learn how to grow food. This year long course is the beginning of one of the educational cornerstones of the eco-village, where small scale intensive gardens are the focus of research, education and demonstration. The project begins with three separate allotment plots being managed using three different gardening methodologies.
