This first harvest of new potatoes, 11 weeks after planting, dug up from one plant. We were pleased with the yield, given the frost a month ago, and will continue to harvest potatoes as needed.

A Food Growing Course
As Ireland's first eco-village is being built in Cloughjordan, 11 people meet once a week to learn how to grow food. This year long course is the beginning of one of the educational cornerstones of the eco-village, where small scale intensive gardens are the focus of research, education and demonstration. The project begins with three separate allotment plots being managed using three different gardening methodologies.
